Dario, or Wretched Dario as he is called by many of his enemies, was a Drugi soldier before becoming the reluctant leader of the band of adventurers this story is about.

Some Back Story

Like his close friend Jado, Dario was born into one of many nomadic tribes who peaceably coexisted in a region known simply as the Western Hill Country. Despite growing up around each other more or less, the two were not always friends, but rivals in youth.

Then came the invasion into their lands by the Brotherhood of Kings. They swept through the Western Hill Country savagely, killing and enslaving all who defied them.

Dario and Jado would become very close to one another over the years spent as slaves in the armies of the Brotherhood of Kings. When the campaigning turned from fighting fellow Drugo enemies of the Brotherhood, to the neutral lands of Soriin, Dario had planned an escape for him and his friends. Several would die in the attempt, but those that lived would go on to join forces with the Nebeski people. Led by the divine hero Karah, the Drugi attack from the Brotherhood of Kings was conceited and their armies pushed out of the lands of Soriin.
